Greetings,
I would like to know what the best printer is for the amiga a3000.  It must
be letter quality and able to print graphics. Black and white is fine but it 
should be 300 dpi and preferrably around $500 retail (no laserprinters).  

I expect to get my first amiga any day now and I know very little about 
printer compatibilities.  I know the HP deskjet series can be 
used with the amiga and it seems like the right choice, but I must also be
able to print with AMAXII running.  Is there a driver for the deskjet that
allows it to be used with AMAXII?  I understand the HP deskwriter will
work with the mac but I don't know if it will work with the amiga.
What are my options?  All replies are gratefully welcome.  Please email, I'll
