I have Project D, which can backup Populous and does some kind of copy protection removal at the same time. I tried this copy on my 3000 (I think under 1.3), and it worked fine. I think it was running hyperfast, but it was still playable, and I hadn't played lately on my 2000, so I can't compare really. But I definitely didn't die instantly when I started a game. I did have trouble clicking on the "start game" button fast enough, as it liked to go into demo mode very quickly. In other words, once you make a backup with Project D, the only problems are that the idiots used timing loops. -- ============================================================================== Nancy Durgin | (Usual disclaimers | Tegra-Varityper, Inc. tegra!nad@uunet.com | apply...) | Billerica, Massachusetts ==============================================================================
