I heard Commodore dropped the project when they found out what the
68040 would do.  And it's just as well; the T800's 10 MIPS and 2
MFLOPS don't stack up to the 68040's 15+ MIPS and 3.5 MFLOPS, and you
get to run all your old programs that fast too.
