Apple *HAS* purchased WDC chips in the past, but mostly they buy from other sources who aren't so flaky. WDC, BTW, does *NOT* from (whoops, have) in-house production facilities. They generally have others (like VLSI) make their chips for them. No one else besides WDC is currently producing chips faster than 4mhz (to my knowledge, which, admittedly is old). *** Randy Hyde O-)
