So if he got it from a magazine, I guess he (we) are the fools :-) As for wacky display lists, I have seen some great special effects on the XL and Amiga due to software crashes which trash the screen info (eg display list pointer on the XL). In fact, I think I've probably seen more impressive scrolling, moving graphics during crashes than I have in games!!!!
