MiNT comes with some simple utilities to run programs in the background, run two programs connected by a pipe, etc. (i.e. it's not just the kernel, like RTX). It also comes with a (very simple!) shell with job control and pipes. I hope people will write better stuff for it, but in the meantime it is usable. -- Eric R.
