Could someone please explain what each of the following is all about? a) page 14, register settings. S16 Modem Self-test. 0 Data Mode (no testing) 1 Analog loopback What does analog loopback do? It says a self test but it seems to do nothing. b) page 70, DIP switch settings. 4 Data Terminal Ready DTR always on DOWN DTR normal, computer controls DTR UP What exactly does this mean? And how do you control it with the computer? It also tends to do nothing when I change the setting. If anybody has the answers could you please reply by either posting or E-Mail. I am interested in what exactly I can do with these modes.
