The physical installation went smooth. The controller is a Compaq hard disk controller and has a bunch of dip switches on it. I don't have docs for this, so am in a quandry as to what they should be set to. Also, I have heard that it is impossible to get a 30 meg hard disk to work in a portable as they only recognize 10meg hard disks. Thus far, upon boot-up, the system doesn't recognize the hard disk, but will still boot from floppy. I didn't have a Compaq-Dos diskette at the time of installation, so don't know yet whether that will be any help. The version of Compaq-Dos that I have now is v3.2. Any help at all (or any pointing in the right direction) would be greatly appreciated. Rich McCain Servio Corporation....
