Message-ID: <260@ub.d.umn.edu> Date: 24 Sep 90 01:02:17 GMT Distribution: na Organization: University of Minnesota, Duluth. Information Services. Lines: 9 I had a 10meg hard drive die in an old IBM PC. I've run into some problems getting a new 10meg drive working. Mainly, I don't know how to low level format it. I've tried debug with g=c800:5 with no luck. Unfortunately, I have no specific information on the controller. It is most likely original IBM equipment. It is full length and only a hard drive controller. The floppy controller is seperate and about 3/4 length. Any suggestions on what to try, or even whether or not the formatting routine is on the card. Thanks for any and all possible solutions. Vern
