Turn off computer and open case. 2. Insert the Intel Above Board in a 16-bit slot. 3. Bootup with MS-DOS. 4. Run the setup program for the Intel Above Board and tell it that you want EXTENDED MEMORY (not expanded LIM memory). 5. Now tell the CMOS setup that you have more memory. I'm not sure if this will work, but if the Intel Above Board has no switches, the board setup is stored on the board somewhere. You must change this setup in order for the system to recognize the EXTENDED memory on this board. Other- wise, the board maybe set for EXPANDED. I hope this helps. __________ ___ / \ / / /-/ / /\/ _/ / / / __/. /__ / / / / / / / / "Happy Computing ..." / / ARPAnet: Johnny.J.Chin@andrew.cmu.edu / ------- / 4730 Centre Ave. #412 BITnet: jc58@andrew \__________/ Pittsburgh, PA 15213 UUCP: ...!uunet!andrew.cmu.edu!jc58 Computer Dr. ______________________________________________________________________________ Disclaimer: The views expressed herein are STRICTLY my own, and not CMU's.
