I am interested in moving up to 5-6 MB, depending on what my wallet will support. From what little I understand, there is room on the system board for 6 MB, available as boards yielding 1-2 MB (with three slots to fill on the system board). Off the system board, there are two 32-bit slots, where one can add boards carrying 2-8 MB. Or, is it only one slot available for that? Anyhow, there seem to be vendors who sell "PS/2 memory boards" with varying amounts of memory, and (to me) a confusing array of product descriptions and (IBM) part numbers. Does anyone have the inside dope on what's what, what will work, and what to look out for? Plus, is there a significant advantage in locating as much memory as possible on the system board? The manual hasn't proven to be very informative. Thanks in advance, of course. Dale.
