Message-ID: <1225@limbo.Intuitive.Com> Date: 24 Sep 90 07:13:55 GMT Reply-To: taylor@limbo.Intuitive.Com (Dave Taylor) Organization: Intuitive Systems, Mountain View, CA: +1 (415) 966-1151 Lines: 24 Having had a T1000SE for about two months now, I've again been bitten by an incredibly annoying problem: basically if the computer is left sitting for a few weeks it completely runs out the battery to the point where it even loses anything on the RAM card I've installed. Since I tend to use it only on trips, it means that I have to go through the hassle of reinstalling my software *each time* I want to use the machine! Grrr... I have a non-Toshiba modem, but am careful to always have the laptop *not* supply power to it when I'm not using it (via the ALT-OPTS key) (or something like that - the little two page pop up config menu)... It is a drag because overall I really like the T1000SE, but this problem is getting to be enough of a drag that I'm probably going to try to trade it in for a 1200 or something else that has a similar footprint/weight but has a *hard disk* too... Anyone else experienced this? -- Dave Taylor Intuitive Systems Mountain View, California taylor@limbo.intuitive.com or {uunet!}{decwrl, apple}!limbo!taylor
