I recently got a MAC SE upgraded from 1 meg (4 256k simms) to 4 meg (4 1 meg simms). After the upgrade, it had odd screen problems -- namely, evenly spaced dark vertical bars about 1 pixel wide (stationary) all the way across the screen. Does this sound like a problem with the new RAM? A bad SIMM, perhaps? What else might cause this? Is the mac SE screen mapped from the main RAM, or does the display adapter have its own memory? Are there any good free/cheap RAM testers for the Mac? And where can I get them?
