Lines: 13 This isn't directly related to the pricing, but our university (Michigan Tech) offers Macs at educational discounts that seem about the same as mail order, but they also offer two-year, interest free loans to students and faculty. For me (with an extremely limited, grad student budget) this was a deciding factor. (I bought an SE/30 4/80 with extended keyboard for ~2900.)
