I have a working SID-II, but I notice that using the Test Utility to record to a disk file causes 'clicks' when the disk drive spins when it has to write. The click is actually a span of time when recording stops when the drive is running. They are very short spurts, but long enough to make a word unintelligible unless you try many times to beat the drive. I had illusions that the RAM cache could delay the write, obviously no luck. Any workarounds, or other PD recording programs? (SE w/MultiFinder and various INITs that appear to all be stable) David V. Baker Intermetrics, Inc. dvb@inmet.inmet.com
