What possible perception of speed are you looking at that makes you think one system release is slower than another? Are you looking at how fast a program loads? Are you looking at how fast a disk read/writes data? Are you looking at screen updates? What is the perception?? Also I have seen nothing anywhere that concludes that the occasional folder problem that we see is caused by some bug in the system software. It is usually directory damage of some sort.
