Pk., MD 20742 Lines: 20 I just tried to put out IIci into 1-bit mode, to speed up a program that we just got. Doing so causes strange things to happen on the screen: 1) The font that is used to display folder names "blocks up". That is, seemingly more black pixels are turned on, resulting in letters that become blobs. 2) "Snow" appears on the screen. The first problem seems to go away when I go to 4-bit color, but the second remains. Both problems disappear in 4-bit gray or better, and 16-bit color and better. This problem is new, since I used to change from color to b/w quite frequently. I tried running with all INITs disabled, but still had the same problems. Can anyone help me on this one? -- Wayne Folta (folta@cs.umd.edu 128.8.128.8)
