When I push the interrupt button on the programmer's switch, the computer hangs no matter what I am doing. I blamed the software first and I replaced my system software, then all the applications that I was running and every peice of software I had. Then I finally tried the following : I disconnected the hard disk and turned the computer on without any startup disk. It sat there with the disk and question mark on the sreen looking for a disk to read. I hit the interrupt and it hanged. Then I noticed that none of the word processors that I have work any more (niether the original copies, nor the new ones.) Every time I start any of them, it loads until it gets to openning a document window and then bombs with an error id of 4. I am not sure if these are related problems or not. This a Mac + with the original logic board (and I am sorry to say no fan) I heard about a lot of people having to change their logic boards before. Is this a sign that it is my turn to do replace the board? Please e-mail me back with your suggestions or post to the net and I will summarise.
