Thanks to all the people who sent replies. It appears that
the going rate is currently $44-45(US) for 1Meg 80ns SIMMs.

I purchased from MET - they accept plastic with no surcharge
and their 800 number worked from Canada (what a surprise!).
Their price was $45 + $6 for shipping (UPS blue).

Someone is making lots 'o cash. The current price for 3rd party
