No, of course it's never too late to enroll--in graduate school!

You could look for a nearby NeXT and make them a deal (buy time on it,
trade your skills for time, ask them to give you some time in exchange for
a percentage of the hoped-for profits when you market your package, etc.).

You might even go work for another NeXT developer for a while
and save some money to buy your own.  Be creative!
