Not another guy searching for a DVI driver for the Laserjet Plus!", I haven't been able to get the information I am needing from the posts in comp.text.tex of the last 30 days, so there.:-) I am using TeX 3.0, MF 2.0 and the Beebe DVIJEP V2.07 on a IBM /6000 running AIX 3.1, which behaves a lot like 4.3 BSD. While I have not encountered any problems with this combination as long as I am using English texts, the driver does not work with German umlauts. It simply ignores the \" command and if I use \ss for German eszet, the driver switches the LJ+ back into its own builtin font. Now, while I am not a TeX and especially not a Metafont wizard, even I have heard that with MF 2.0 there exist "virtual fonts". My question, therefore, is: Could it be that V2.07 of DVIJEP does not support pk fonts generated by MF 2.0? If so, is there a newer version which does? If so, where can I get it?
