Does anyone know if either of the following two tech reports have been
published anywhere:

Apostolico, Szpankowski: "Self-alignments in words and their applications"
CS, Purdue Uni, 1987.

Apostolico, Szpankowski: "Alignments with words with application to the
evaluation of suffix trees", CS, Purdue Uni, 1989.
