It can not, however, successfully log in to a DEC RISC/MIPS 5810 Ultrix 3.1D system... the account is good - if I dial up manually and type in the loginID and password it starts uucico and gives the Shere message, but if I use a command like /usr/lib/uucp/uucico -r1 -Sdecbox -x9 to watch the progress, it gets the login: prompt, gives the loginID, gets the password: prompt, gives the correct password, and gets back an invalid password error, returning to the login: prompt of course. This has also happenned when the same SCO Unix system tried to dial up to a DECStation 3100 running Ultrix. Has anyone seen this combination of systems, this problem in general? Any assistance appreciated - both of these Ultrix machines that I want the SCO Unix machine to hook up to are MUCH better UUCP links than the two I'm currently using...
