I get the message "Error: Can't open display" when I attempt to do this. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? On the UNIX computer (a VAX), I type: xtest -display lismm6 xtest is the name of the client; lismm6 is the VMS VAXstation 3100. On the VAXstation 3100, under the Security menu of the DECwindows session manager, I have set: node: crg username: * transport: tcp/ip crg is the name of the UNIX computer. I am using Multinet for tcp/ip. I have also tried setting username to my account name (chapman) to no avail. I have also tried using internet addresses rather than the computer names; again, no luck. I anyone can help, I would sure love to hear from you! thanx, carol chapman (chapman@lll-crg.llnl.gov) Carol Chapman Tel. (415) 423-7876 Livermore National Laboratory chapman@lll-crg.llnl.gov P. O.
