According to the OSF/Motif programmers reference manual, the XmNmwmDecorations resource (of a widget derived from a Vendor Shell) can be set to affect the window frame displayed by MWM. From looking a the X11/MwmUtils.h file it seems that one should be able to go: n=0; XtSetValues(args[n], XmNmwmDecorations, MWM_DECOR_MENU); n++; shell = XtCreateApplicationShell("example", topLevelShellWidgetClass, args, n); and then the window will be displayed without (sic) a menu button. This is not true with my system. Is this a bug that is fixed in V1.1 (which I hope to get shortly) or is there something else I have to set up to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated; please email because my news feed has been a little erratic lately (I'll post a summary if requested).
