We don't need textured sidewalks and that kind of stuff tom, i think that all blind people should get as much mobility training as they need; however, i don't think that we can get too much in the manner of safety precautions as we can. some blind persons are not as mobile as others, and if we can save a life with texture sidewalks or other markings, why not? i am not use to traveling in subways, since we don't have them down here, but any extra help i could get, i wouldn't mind, with all of that noise in there.
