L. Tinkham) asks about a form of the rosary that does not involve veneration of Mary. As a Protestant, I find meditation about the life of Christ (without a rosary etc.) uplifting. Take the scenes in the life of Christ one by one, in order, from the announcement to Mary, his birth, childhood, baptism, life, sufferings, death, resurrection, and promise of his second coming. Imagine each one in turn. You will be surprised at how powerful this is, and how uplifting, and what deep spiritual lessons it conveys that you had not suspected before. It's also uplifting to memorize Bible promises and recall them to memory throughout the day, especially in times of stress and conflict. Peace Dave Plaisted (The above list is of course just a sketch; you will probably want to use a much more detailed list.)
