I like it but it doesn't seem too happy with my 8MHz 286 box running a 2400-baud modem. ("Doesn't seem too happy" means it locks up the system after a couple of minutes of connection.) So I wonder--had anybody got knowledge of an upgrade that likes running at 2400 baud in an AT-type box? Oh yes BTW it should be able to use the Kermit transfer protocol too. Oh yes, and VT100 emulation. Am I asking for too much? (I haven't tried contacting Headlands because I read Andrew Fluegelman's obituary.) OR: (and this is probably a FAQ, though I haven't seen it): what software should I be using? Please email me and I'll summarize next weekend (10/7) and post the results. But I'd really prefer an upgrade of PC-TALK if available, because I'm used to its menu structure. -- The above is my own opinion and not attributable to any other person or organization. email: browns@iccgcc.decnet.ab.com Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.
