Message-ID: <1774.27088026@waikato.ac.nz> Date: 1 Oct 90 23:55:18 GMT Organization: University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand Lines: 23 Help! I have a problem. I need to be able to set the machine name of a workstation existing on a Novell Network, from a program written in C. This is for a network aware program with a licence limit, that wants the user specified with the "MACHINE NAME = 'name'" in the login script. As we have more workstations that licenses and way way more users than that, I need to be able to set the name to one that isn't being used at the time. Any Ideas? I can't find any reference to it in the Netware API's, but the Netware manuals say that it sets the NetBIOS machine name of the station to a specified name. Thanks in advance. -- ============================================================================== | Hamish Marson | Internet hamish@waikato.ac.nz | | Computer Support Person | Phone (071)562889 xt 8181 | | Computer Science Department | Amiga 3000 for ME! | | University of Waikato | | ============================================================================== |Disclaimer: Anything said in this message is the personal opinion of the | | finger hitting the keyboard & doesn't represent my employers | | opinion in any way.
