I'm using a 286 with a parallel port, a thin ethernet connection, and a DE-600 Pocket LAN Adapter. Put them all together with your favorite packet driver-supporting TCP connectivity package (e.g. CUTCP, NCSA, PC/TCP) and you have a TCP Client. Using an IPX packet driver interface (e.g. BYU's) and NETx, you have simultaneous TCP and IPX connections. The performance is not bad...
