Thanks for all the effort on dvips.  

I have been installing each of your packages as they appear without any
trouble.  

I do have one problem.  Setting DEFRES to 300 (dpi) doesn't seem to
have any effect.  To get output for my LaserWriter, I still have to use
the -D 300 switch to use the 300 dpi fonts.

Is there something else I need to do?
