One of the things that jiggles in the back of my mind is that the locations of several system files (IO.SYS, MSDOS.SYS) is stored correctly in FAT, but the system reads them in using absolute disk locations, *not* by using the FAT information. If your UNIX file doesn't have these system files stored in the locations corresponding to the correct *absolute* locations, you may get hosed. Hope this helps.. Jon Panek HP Andover
