I have a tty2 that works very nicely when the appropriate /etc/ttys entry
is '1f2', but won't do anything at all when the entry is '2f2' instead.

getty doesn't like something, or is missing some vital configuration
information, or what? I dunno... 

...stumped again -- where to go from here?
