Dear All,

Thanks to many, many replies to my "hard disk problems" message, I now have
at least the MiniScribe working again.

As mentioned before, it refused to show the green light after power-up;
this appeared to be a loosened tap on the stepper motor.  According to
some of you, this happens quite often (especially in Canada after thunder-
storms!)... :-(

Anyway, I re-adjusted this thingie, powered it up, and it ran !
It needed a low-level format, but after that I could use it again.

So: thanks to y'all !

Now, to get the quirks of of the Seagate 251... :-(
