Hello net world:

I know this question was asked (probably over and over) before.  
I even remember reading something about it ... but I cannot seem to find
this information anywhere anymore.  Can someone please tell me how, if
possible, one can set DOS environment variable in C (turbo C if possible
but any help will do) such that when the program exists the environment
variable is still there!
