Other key topics would be: Design issues in fine,medium, and course grain parallelism, and considerations necessary for particular applications. I currently have "Parallel Programming Design" by KM Chandy and J Misra (89) which has boggled my mind in its persistent use of mathematical notation. Any good alternatives?
