I am looking for a good reference book at the novice (Grad) level
dealing in
 parallel programming design, including descriptions and comparisions
 (advantages,disadvantages,contrasts) between different approaches and
 implementations.  Other key topics would be: Design issues in
 fine,medium,
 and course grain parallelism, and considerations necessary for
 particular applications. I currently have "Parallel Programming
 Design" by
KM Chandy and J Misra (89) which has boggled my mind in its persistent
use of
mathematical notation.  Any good alternatives?
