In particular, I am interested in the following points. What models are out there? I've heard of ones from Maxtor, Sony and recently, Canon. What's the interface like? Just plug it onto the SCSI bus, make a filesystem and go? What is the performance like compared to magnetic media? Seek times? Rotational latency? Anything else? Plese email, I'll summarize. Thanks in advance. Ken ken@csis.dit.csiro.au ken@cs.rochester.edu
