The best that you can ask for is "that does not give the user too much pain". 2) Be VERY SURE to ask for conformance to RFC987 or RFC1148 before buying Also, be sure to have a source for the coordinated RFC987 tables before installing. Otherwise, connecting to the global Internet from the global (or European) X.400 network is a royal pain.
