When I ftp autoexec.bat from one ka9q box to another the first character is dropped. For instance when ftp'ing this autoexec.bat file: wd8003e 0x7e 2 0x380 0xd000 PATH a:\dos;a:\bin;a:\lbin;a:\ verify on > \boottime prompt $P$G :loop net goto :loop The first line comes out: d8003e 0x7e 2 0x380 0xd000 This only happens with autoexec.bat and so I suspect it has something to do with the file being open at the same time it is overwritten. Could someone give a more informed explanation of what is happening? -- Fred Fierling fff@mplex.bc.ca Tel: 604 875-1461 Fax: 604 875-9029 Microplex Systems Ltd 265 East 1st Avenue Vancouver, BC V5T 1A7, Canada
