Please refer to Briwall's ads (i.e., Amiga World, 10/90) or Grapevine Group (ditto) or Memory World (also, ditto.) 1Mx4 chips : $68,$54.95,$56.95 256x4 chips: $13,------,$12.00 I claimed $15. Sorry. I was doing that from memory (no pun intended at work.) Really, they are about $13.00 per chip. The fact still remains that the A3000 FAST RAM prices are $136 and $104 per MEG, as stated by me. Recall that you MUST add each bank in sets of 8. 8 256x4 give 1MEG, 8 1Mx4 give 4MEG. These are all static column ZIPS. Therefore, if the A3000 25-100 comes with 5Meg RAM and the A3000 25-50 comes with 1Meg the 4Meg difference averages out to about $470. So the education discount difference of $800 means you're paying $330 for the extra 50MEG of hard drive. This difference is even more reasonable if the A3000 25-100 comes with the 1Mx4 chips, as I suspect it does. Again, this is reasonable. Approximations on calculations 'not-with-standing' this is correct. If it REALLY is cheaper ($75/MEG!), let me know so I can add another 4MEG of RAM now. I need it! Jim
