I am not aware of any slowdown with A-Talk III due to the 2.0 software. 
Nothing of that kind was ever experienced during testing with Betas of 2.0
or the actual release.  Since I use A-Talk III with 2.0 daily, I would assume
I would have noticed something like that.  Moreover, no end-user has reported
such behavior with the A-Talk III 1.3c release.
