The lab is basically an animation lab for non-computer people. We have a problem with students picking an icon for a hard drive partition (instead of their floppy) and accidentally formating the hard drive then with the format menu command. Does anyone know of any way to protect a hard drive partition from accidentally being formatted in this way? The way we are doing it at this time is to make an icon (with iconx) that calls a script to start format on drive df0:. But, there has got to be a real way do to this. For instance, it would be great if the Lock command could lock out format instead of entirely locking out writing to a partition. Any other suggestions. ============================================================================== Sean Schur USENET: schur@isi.edu Compuserve: 70731,1102 Plink: OSS259 ==============================================================================
