I'm stuck on the level where you find a chest with a gem and a scroll
in it. The scroll reads: Put the gem back.

Now I've been through the whole level (or what I can reach of it anyway),
3 or 4 times, and haven't found any other clues as to what I should do.

Could some kind soul supply a gentle nudge in the right direction?
