I think I've seen this problem mentioned before, but I'm not sure.

My A3000 is a stock machine, i.e. 1MB CHIP and 1MB of FAST RAM.  After
booting either from HD or floppy, I have ~840K of CHIP memory and ~4K of
FAST memory!!  Why?!
