The mac os 7.0, which has been delayed twice already, While virtual memory may not be in the current Mac OS, you can certainly use virtual memory with the addition of "Virtual" by Connectix. We run Virtual on most the Macs in my department (it is a must have for Mathematica). I have 14M of virtual memory on my MacIIci. (I know it has a MMU, but the SEs don't and they run it too) While my Amiga isn't nearly the memory hog of a multi-finder Mac (my IIci system is 2936K) it sure would be nice to have virtual memory. I'm hoping when I buy my next machine (A3000) that it will eventually have virtual. Anyone know if Amax on a A3000 can run Virtual??? >Virtual memory is not what you describe.
