Message-ID: Date: 4 Oct 90 02:25:15 GMT Sender: news@fuug.fi (USENET News System) Distribution: comp Organization: Helsinki University of Technology, Finland Lines: 18 Is there some kind of flat handler available anywhere with ftp &c? In other words, I need a handler that makes a device (like trackdisk.device) to a DOS-readable file or filehandle (like PAR:, but seekable). There is an entry "RFD:" in Mountlist file distributed with MessyDos, shareware CrossDos style program, that uses "rfd-handler". I want it! (I'm reading diskettes written by UNIX tar to /dev/rfdnn. Now I read whole disk to a file in harddisk and then untar it.) Pekka Pessi -- ppessi@niksula.hut.fi !
