After considerable experimentation and examination, I still can't make it do what I need. Here's a transcript of a session showing the parameter settings and the problem of not being able to use kermit because the line is not a typewriter (?!?): ......... ETC ........ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I never heard anything else on the matter. We have the same problem on our apollos and though I have tried recompiling, ftp'ing source and binary from adus, nothing seems to work. 1. Does anyone know what the problem is? 2. Does anyone have kermit working on their Apollos running SR10.2? Related to this problem ... whenever I FTP an executable from an apollo to an apollo using the binary transfer type, then try to execute it, I get the error message : ?(sh) syntax error on line 1 of "" - A control character was found where it was not expected. I must be missing something simple but I don't know what. I really need some help - even if it is to find out that no one can run kermit on the apollos (SR10.2) anymore. Thanks, Lynda.
