I knew that would come back to haunt me when I pressed the magic "s". Really,
I didn't mean to include GS/OS. I have double clicked on Basic.System recently
just before my GS died( again).

This is a great idea. I urge you to finish it. There is Public Folder GS which
does a good job of transferring files from the Mac to the GS but not back. I
don't know if it ever will. I think it might be nice to have a GS to GS
capability for your program. I'm surprised the Beagle people didn't extend
Flash to the GS, but maybe this is in the works.
There is a shareware file server(non-dedicated) called Easyshare which 
promises to support ProDos in version 1.0(they are at 0.9).
