Last time I heard any numbers thrown around, the A2 line was responsible for ***ONE BILLION*** dollars income a year to Apple. Unless you're the gummint, that's pretty damn big bucks. For a machine they haven't been doing much development for, that can't be hurting the bottom line any, any more than it did when it funded Jobs' Mac project. And Steve Jobs is the reason my next machine won't be a NeXT machine.... I'm hoping and praying that the announcements on the 19th will NOT include the ]['s retirement notice, but I'm not holding my breath.
