I'm finally getting a mono monitor, but I don't want to spend the money
on a Monitor Master.  On the other hand, I don't have a problem with chopping
up cables and covering them with tape when I'm done (I'm not into fancy
boxes).  Is it possible to build a (relatively) simple switch into the
cable(s)?

Any help appreciated...
